Akon in KL, launch of Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe in Penang!

Wassup! Been wanting to get this entry up and going… so here it goes… last weekend was AWESOME! Apart from the awesomeness that happened in KL – yes, Akon the man was here! I heard the dude was body surfing and was all gungho about our 1Malaysia thing…

So anyway, while Akon was performing on stage and getting his body touched by billions of hands, Fabes and I dropped by the land of PENANG! YAY! If you don’t know by now, Fabes and I are the biggest fans of Penang – island of food… sea breeze and people who smile a heck of alot – I honestly think it’s the water they are drinking…

Why were we there? TADA!

The last time we went there, it was the pre-opening so things weren’t exactly perfect but this time around – HARD ROCK PENANG – ROCKED BIG TIME!

Just checkout the room… awww how nice, they gave me a limited edition plaque bring home!

Here’s the night view from the room – just checkout the bar, the pool, the restaurants, the lights… it’s beautifully lit – the pool literally spans from one end of the hotel to the other and comes with a beach-like environment and underwater music!

Fabes and I attended the official launch of Hard Rock Cafe, Penang – and here’s the age old tradition – opening of a Hard Rock Cafe with the guitar breaking ceremony!

and of course, how would I end my trip in Penang without checking out the official Fly FM Pagi Show – as voted by the Rakyat of Fly FM – the BEST CHAR KUEY TEOW in MALAYSIA if not the WORLD! – AH LENG’S CHAR KUEY TEOW!
